Client Spotlight: The Ball Park - Twin Cities
Over the summer, I had the unique experience of helping The Ball Park Twin Cities open their doors to the public. The Ball Park is located in Blaine, Minnesota and serves handcrafted cocktails, has a 36-tap pour-your-own-beer wall, the most delicious gourmet scratch-made food and six HitTrax Batting Simulators. The restaurant is forward facing, while in the back they have batting cages, video games and a candy bar geared for youth to enjoy.
I began with redesigning The Ball Park website, which originally did not portray the quality experience that The Ball Park offers. To achieve an up-scaled vibe, I wanted to find a high quality photo that showed some action for visual interest. I layered a smoky background throughout all the digital marketing for The Ball Park to bring out the smells, flavors, and sounds of the meat being cooked. Essentially, triggering as many senses as possible while being limited to a 2-dimensional design - all very effective for getting people in the door!
While The Ball Park focuses on launching the new Blaine restaurant, I kept the social media posts rolling out. It brought a fun challenge to bring all the features of the restaurant together cohesively. Along with social media growth and brand awareness strategies, I also designed large banners, geo-fenced ads into highly populated targeted areas, and designed a marketing campaign to be showcased at the 3M Open.
